This is a jig that we learned from Michael Kennedy. His version is quite unusual and his playing gives the tune the feeling of a march. We play the tune slower than Michael does but we still retain the march-like quality. He plays it in A dorian, but most people play it in E dorian as we do here. Malcolm’s accompaniment is done with mallets wrapped with rubber bands giving the dulcimer a beautiful soft sound.
