How many singers are singing or studying this score? Our business relies on the purchase of one original score per voicing and a licensed copy for each singer—as well as the purchase of additional licenses in the future when more copies are made. (For example: For a 30-voice choir, you would buy a license to make 30 copies.) You may also discover from Dalglish recordings that we encourage creative and fresh performance ideas. Go for it!

Choose between a spoken or sung harmonic version of nonsense animal word-jazz mouth and body percussion. Has plenty of audience participation, hambone, funny bone chin music that plays with the kind of inventive language found in American folk song.

The words in this song don’t make sense. They just make rhythm and mouth music. There are many invented or unrecognizable syllables. At high speeds they may reveal discernable phrases. Phonetic misspellings are used to help the tongue dance playfully across them. At the end of each verse there are some fill-in-the-blank parts for the audience. The choir rhymes them into the obvious answers and gives them the cue, with a gesture. At the very end there is a test of the audiences memory which they will pass, to their amazement, with flying colors. This song goes well with invented body percussion.
